Since November 2004, Diane S. Raines, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer for Baptist Health. Mrs. Raines has served at Baptist Health for more than 30 years in a number of capacities, both nursing and non-nursing: staff nurse, educator, cardiac rehabilitation nurse, Director of Cardiac Services, Director of Business Development, Vice President of Corporate Communications and Senior Vice President of Organizational Effectiveness.
Mrs. Raines holds a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Florida State University in Tallahassee, and earned a Master of Science degree in nursing from the University of Florida, where she graduated summa cum laude. She is a doctoral student at the University of North Florida and a 2010 Johnson & Johnson Wharton Executive Fellow in Nursing.
Mrs. Raines completed a Healthier Communities Fellowship through the American Hospital Association in 1999 and Leadership Jacksonville in 2002. She is a member of the American Nurses Association and the American Organization of Nurse Executives.
Mrs. Raines has presented locally, nationally and internationally on leadership and nursing-related topics. Her community involvement includes the United Way of Northeast Florida and The Bridge of Northeast Florida, where she currently serves on the Board of Directors, as well as church-related activities. In addition, she and her family have completed numerous mission trips, including a medical mission to Haiti and Habitat for Humanity in Costa Rica.
Honors she has received include the 2010 University of Florida College of Nursing Alumna of the Year; EVE finalist in employment in 2008; Corporate Women in Business award in 2008; and the national "Spirit of CareGiving™ Award" in 2004 for leadership in building a culture of caring at Baptist Health.
Mrs. Raines and Don, her husband of 36 years, have two sons.
