Since November 2004, Diane S. Raines, MSN, RN, CNAA, BC, has served as Senior Vice President, Chief Nursing Officer. Prior to that, she was Senior Vice President, Organizational Effectiveness, for five years. Previously, Mrs. Raines served as vice president of Corporate Planning and Communications and Corporate Planning and Development.
Mrs. Raines holds a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Florida State University in Tallahassee, and earned a Master of Science degree in nursing from the University of Florida, where she graduated summa cum laude. She began her career with Baptist Health as a staff nurse in the Coronary/Critical Care area and held various positions in Cardiac
Services.
Mrs. Raines, a graduate of the Leadership Jacksonville Class of 2002, is an Associate of the American College of Healthcare Executives. She has volunteered with
the American Heart Association on both the local and state levels. Additionally, she served on the Executive Council of the American Diabetes Association (2004-05), and as a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society. She also is an American Hospital Association 1999 Fellow in Healthier Communities.
Honors received by Mrs. Raines include a national award in recognition of her role as a Spirit of Care Giving
facilitator. She also was a recipient the University of North Florida Excellence in Training award in 2004 and was honored by the YWCA in the Tribute to Women for healthcare leadership.
