Introduction
Baptist Health is a faith-based, mission-driven healthcare organization comprised of Baptist Medical Center Downtown, Baptist Medical Center Beaches, Baptist Medical Center Nassau and Wolfson Children's Hospital - Jacksonville's only children's hospital. Baptist Health's services include a state-of-the-art cardiology and cardiovascular surgery program, a comprehensive cancer center, an orthopaedic institute, a women's resource center, an extensive psychology and psychiatry program, outpatient facilities and a network of primary care physicians throughout Northeast Florida. Baptist Health also provides home health care, occupational health, home infusion therapy, retail pharmacies, bloodless medicine and surgery, pulmonary services (including sleep disorders centers), and rehabilitative therapies.
In 2005, Baptist Health opened Jacksonville's first hospital of the 21st century, Baptist Medical Center South, a 92-bed facility that will serve communities in southern Duval and northern St. Johns counties. Baptist Health is the official healthcare provider for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
